Cook Islands Ura Ura Akareka and Ura Takiri (Kōanga)

Hosted by Taoro Ina N Tuaine – Practice the sacred ritual of the Cook Islands Ura Ura dance, with classical instruments and live music.

In these sessions, you’ll discover the particular movements and gesture of hips, legs and hands, which to tell a tale for audiences. Explore Cook Islands identity and inspirational tales of the ocean, birds or flowers, but also human emotions through dance and music.
Bring a pareu (lava lava/sarong), a towel and a water bottle.
