Akoteu Kato Kakala began as a playgroup in Māngere 21 years ago. They are now based in Ōtara. This exhibition presents their recent mobile sculptures with a strong focus on recycled and found objects. Falehanga highlights the enriching contribution Tongan women make to building success, empowering the collective and nurturing fānau within the Akoteu context of Aotearoa.
