Rūnanga-Ā-Iwi-O-Ngāpuhi is the host for the biennial Ngāpuhi Festival and aims to deliver a world class indigenous event right in the heart of Ngāpuhi. 2014 will be no exception with artists and participants coming from all over the globe to take part in the 2014 Ngāpuhi Festival.
The line up includes the Honour Matariki Collaboration (Maisey Rika, Ria Hall, Whirimako Black and Betty Ann Monga), as well as Sons of Zion whose album Universal Love currently sits at #14 on the NZ Top
The centrepiece of the festival is the arts exhibition – Toi Ngapuhi – which in 2014 will see Aotearoa’s best Maori artists join with the cream of the international indigenous art community to produce another world class display for visitors to the 2014 Ngapuhi Festival. There’s also rides and entertainment for the young people, everything at the festival is free to enjoy.
