AUCKLAND MAORI AND PASIFIKA TRADES TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS – MIT 2015 PROGRAMMES. SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS OPEN NOW – COURSES START JANUARY & FEBRUARY 2015.
250 scholarships available for Maori and Pasifika students to study at MIT in trades programmes. The scholarships have been made available, through the Auckland Maori and Pasifika Trades Training Consortium initiative, an initiative funded by government ministries MBIE and TEC, to provide Maori and Pasifika peoples between 18-34 years, an opportunity to train for employment in priority trades areas.
The goal of the programme is to ensure that students enter into employment, gain a level 4+ qualification or enter a NZ Apprenticeship.
· We would appreciate your assistance to promote the scholarship opportunities to our communities over the summer break to families, friends, churches and community networks, who would be interested and benefit from studying in a Level 3 or 4 Trades programmes at MIT, Unitec or Te Wananga o Aotearoa. Scholarships are available at all 3 institutions, however the eligible programmes of study will differ at each institution – please check their websites.
