Mangere Arts Centre – Ngā Tohu o Uenuku presents this Len Lye exhibition in collaboration with the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery (14 December 2013 to 16 March 2014). The new exhibition Len Lye: Agiagiā this summer is the first showcase of Lye’s work in South Auckland.
The exhibition involves Lye’s early practice. Taking its title from a Samoan word expressing the notion of ‘natural billowing movement’, Agiagiā reflects the natural landscapes that inspired Len Lye’s work.
