My Fathers Hand

Pasefika Proud presents My Father’s Hands.

Psefika Proud is a strengths-based approach to achieving wellbeing in Pacific families by preventing violence in Pacific families and communities.

My Father’s Hands tells the story of a Pasefika family. With the end of the school year approaching academic pressure is mounting while potential unemployment brings economic insecurity. The rapid approach of Christmas alongside visiting relatives just adds to the pressure. The family must learn to cope without given in to the temptation of violence and find strength in talanoa – open communication and understanding. A Play written and directed By Kila Kokonut Krew’s Stacey Leilua and Vela Manusaute.
