This exhibition features both customary and comtemporary visual arts through the works of emerging and established New Zealand-based artists of Cook Island Heritage.
Curated by New Zealand born Artist Lelani Kake.
Together the artists represent the fifteen islands and atolls that make up the Cook Islands. Lelani Kake selected the artists in order to mark out and activate, through a range of creative practices, stories, memories and ideas that personify the concept of “Pirianga Toto” – which means to be “connected by blood” to the Cook Islands.
