Poi-Making
Poi were traditionally used by Māori men to increase flexibility and strength in their hands and arms, and to improve their coordination and control. Nowadays, poi are seen in performance dances where they are swung rhythmically and used as percussion. Join artist Ruth Woodbury from Raranga Creations to make your own poi. You can even bring in your own plain, white plastic bags to upcycle!
