Tahitian Dancing Extravaganza

This is a unique musical play created by Tahitian and Maori students about a love story which is to be performed in 3 parts of 20 minutes Here is the story line:

In ancient times the unity of all the peoples living on the shores of Te Moana Nui a Hiva (Pacific Ocean) was celebrated through the gathering of all nations on the most sacred marae of all, Taputapuatea in Raiatea/Rangiatea.

Among the crowd from all corners of the ocean is princess Ruahere, a Tahitian girl whose heart falls for prince Kahurangi a Maori warrior but as is the case in Polynesian culture, Ruahere is bethroted to another Tahitian warrior Hoatapu. Will the power of love between these two hearts break the tapu and attract the ire of the gods? Or will their love survive and flourish to live happily ever after. Please come and see by yourself…
