Every year on 8th October the celebration of the first meeting between Maori and European in Aotearoa. Te Unga Mai is the celebration of that historic first meeting and a celebration of the shared history of both Maori and European.
This year the festival has included a Pacific flavour to the event. Auckland Dance Group Polynesian Entertainers, will be preforming.
Items include Hawaiian Dancing, Tahitian Dancing and Samoan Dancing, The highlight of the evening is a Samoan fire knife dance.
