Librarians will weave their storytelling magic into the hearts and minds of children across Auckland with a special Treaty of Waitangi storytime across libraries.
The story will be Guardian of the Bridge by Diana Harris. This unique book has an Auckland setting, is centered around the iconic harbour bridge, and will help children to see Auckland through the eyes of the main character – the taniwha, to gain an appreciation of the bicultural relationships of Auckland both past and present.
There will be waiata (songs), activities and passionate librarians to enthuse and enthrall you and your children. We really encourage you to get to this event – it’s going to be epic!
