Whānau Day

Whānau Day

Welcome to the Urbanesia Henderson-Massey Local Board Whānau Day where people from all ages and walks of life can spend a fun, chilled afternoon entertained by a huge array of artists. From jewellery makers, weavers, dancers, musicians, singers, to physical theatre and graffiti art you can catch it all in one day at Henderson.

Starting from the Wāitakere Central Library, where the Pacifica Arts Centre will present child friendly Pacific entertainement and interactive art works.

Walk down Henderson Town Centre and be entertained along the way with dynamic live art making with Solomon Island jewellery, music by STKS, Wakakura and Black Stones, dance by Fine Fatale and Sau e siva, spoken word by Niu Navigations and Polynesian theatre troupe the Black Friars, plus the exciting dynamic physical theatre group White Face Crew pop up here and there.

Next stop is the Corbans Estate Arts Centre. Lay out a rug and picnic on the grass whilst soaking up the live stage entertainment, workshops, art installations and theatre performances.

From dance, visual arts, theatre, music, physical theatre, literature and spoken word – whatever your flavour you will find it here.
